Why would they be different?

Brakes got bigger in '08. Both F & R rotors, and front calipers.
But on an '06, I would not rule out that brakes pads had already been replaced with some cheapo pads which cost much less than OEM, and also perform worse, especially when i comes to glazing (yup.... know this one from experience). And most ceramic pads also stop worse thas OEM pads.

Re: WTB....
I found this van locally today and went to take a look at it. Not to sure of it's history, but it is an 07 EB E-350 with 45k miles. They are asking $25,000 for it but they were willing to, "let it go" for $19,500. I still feel it was a little pricey.
However, it drove well and was in decent shape. A few dents and scratches, obviously it was used as a commercial vehicle in the past.
What do you guys think?

It's about as basic a van as you can get, that's for sure, though as a diesel, it was probably in the low 30's brand new.
It does have tow mirrors which are nice, but it does also have the sliding side door, which may or may not create challenges for you depending on your plans. If you're going to convert to 4x4, most people use rear wheel spacers to increase the rear axle track width to be the same as the front axle. This causes clearance issues with the sliding door.
Quadvan does have a bracket that moves the slider out as it moves back however.

Which is only available if you convert with Quadvan.

Re: WTB....
I have a Chevy with a duramax and I am super pleased with it. In fact I will never own any other diesel.
My Van is not 4x4 and Im not sure if I will convert it.
The Chevy's have a G-80, which is a locking rear diff and that helps alot up to 25 mph.
The Chevy with the Duramax are rare and hard to find that's for sure but it was worth the time and effort. Power and MPG are fantastic.
I do however think the Ford looks better and my next one might be a Ford but it would be a gas engine for sure.
Happy hunting.
Ron

Re: WTB....
Thanks again guys.
I am going to home build this as a motocross van. First, a wall that will seperate cab area/garage area. Once that is done, 4 captain chairs (Sienna style) in the cab area, Aluminess rack and p/s ladder, windows and tires/wheels. Plus a lot more.
I am not going to go 4X4.....yet. haha. However. I really want barn doors on the p/s.

Make sure you check eBay also. I searched for over a year. I was lucky to find an '08 EB diesel cargo van with passenger barn doors, tow mirrors and only 3200 miles within 20 minutes of him listing it. He originally wanted $23k but we talked him down to $19k. The icing on the cake was that he was local too! It may take a while but you'll know when the right one comes along.
Good luck,
Allen
