WTB: Fiberine or other fixed high top Ford Econoline Extended - SoCal

Like it says, I’m looking for a fixed used high top for my van.

I have a 2008 extended passenger. I’ve found a few of the 16” extensions netting 5’6” inside, but I’m optimistic I can find a 20” or 24” fixed high roof so I don’t have to hunch!

I scour car-parts and check Facebook marketplace, and I’ve called all the local yards. Just curious if anyone has one they are removing /an extra , or for whatever reason don’t need.

Willing to drive to pick up. Basically Phoenix to Las Vegas, to North LA or so. Located in San Diego myself.

Case of beer as a finders fee if you locate one at a yard for me!

Not to state the obvious, but Fiberine will make and install a top for you and they are in the LA area.

Sure you may be looking for something cheaper, and I think you can just buy the top for them and install it yourself.

I appreciate that! Yes im aware - I’ve been talking to them. They won’t let you install your own any more, which is sort of a bummer. By the time you pay for the top, install, California taxes, etc it’s 6000$. I only paid 7000 for the van. Just hoping to find one off a wrecked shuttle bus before I shell out 6k for a brand new top.

I might have one. I recently bought an E350 with a high top but there was a big rust problem on the body that was covered with carpet. Im trying to figure out what to do. I might do a body swap or just part out things to damper all the money I'm going to lose. Its a 7.3 with 200k miles and runs perfect. Im am so sad because I sold my beloved sports car to buy this pos van. The top I think is about 19"-20" tall. Im 6'1" and I have to tilt my head just slightly.

Its for an EB. I haven't figured out how to post photos on here yet. But its an aero model topper so it has some curves and bends not just a big box on top.

I was doing some shopping and an idea hit me.

Is there any other SoCal people that are in need of a high roof for reasonable? TuffPort makes fiberglass van roofs, and they are WAYYYY more reasonable. Like 3k for the new top with wood reinforcing.

The hard part, is the border is still closed, and shipping is about 2k for a top to SoCal. However, I know they can stack tops on the crate, so if there are 2-3 other folks in SoCal that are interested in ordering a new fiberglass top for about 3500$ then let me know. I'll call TuffPort and see if we can get a group order going and split the shipping.

I didn't know where else to put this mods, so hopefully it's okay here.

Take a look, and send me a message if you're in SoCal and want a high roof and want to split shipping with me. Lead time is 6-8 weeks.
