WTB: Hi-roof SMB 4x4 - Want to Buy
Hi all!
TL: DR - Looking to purchase a Hi-Roof SMB 4x4 that sleeps at least two and has a closet, toilet and sink and is suitable for weekends on the slopes for a fair price.
Love reading these forums and am grateful for this community.
It's time for me to go all-in and get an SMB, preferably 4x4 and Hi-roof (so I can stand in it without putting the top up) that can sleep two, preferably 3 (is that even possible?. Ideally with a reliable engine and a build within the last 10 years (V10?).
I need a rig I can live in full time since I'm currently working in a job I really like but it requires me to live in or near a major California metropolis. I found a paid parking lot 8 blocks from where I work that I'm fairly certain I can stealth camp in during the week (I won't be hanging out in it, mostly just sleeping) and then will drive into nature on weekends and the slopes in the winter.
I can shower at the gym so not worried about that, but my girl is going to need a toilet and a sink when she visits/travels with me. I'd also like a closet to hang shirts in.
I may already be asking for a lot, but I'm hoping to pay a fair price that I can sell it in a few years for near what I paid for it (and, of course, proper maint. costs). Ideally around $80,000 or so? I also only have until the end of June to find something since that's when my lease is up and I have to move.
I almost bought Dowgars van here some time ago, but I was doing humanitarian work internationally and the timing wasn't right, also only sleeps one comfortable, but I love it: SOLD: 2009 Hi-Roof 4X4 Sportmobile For Sale - Sportsmobile Forum
I'd be grateful for any advice, tips, connections, thoughts, and/or feedback.
Aloha

I am happy to purchase anywhere in the country.

No solar. Wish SMB West would post more pics. Looks little tired and dirty, I'd rather spend a little more and get a lot more, from what I've seen in the market.

Low miles
It was pretty much built for what you want.

Thanks for posting this!
Looks good but I can’t get myself to pay $65k for a rig that’s 20 years old. Would rather pay more for a newer one. Thanks though!
