WTB rear leaf springs
Alright, after doing the shocks its time to replace the springs. The 4/1 that are on the rear are dead (flattened), so I'd love to know if any of you all have a takeoff set I could take off your hands.
Thanks!

For a Ford?? When I talked to Deaver about leafs a few years ago they mentioned that these leafs are designed to be flat....
I replaced my stock E350 springs (2 leafs + overload I think) with a much beefier set off of an ambulance (maybe 7-8 leafs progressive) and those are pretty flat as well.

interesting...
That said... there is a good 2-3" sag in the rear rear. Given the miles and the load I figure they are at the end of their life.

Finding a used set of optimal springs may prove difficult and are often removed because their worn out, but you may not know until you install them. My old ones were formed around a 4in lift block and rather flat. I wanted to remove the block, so had a set made to lift the rear the 4inches, and with multiple leaves to be more progressive. The ride is way better and there's much less axle wrap. I have no idea what your set up is, but it might be worth considering just having some new ones made. Deaver's are really nice, but very expensive and have a long wait time to boot. There are other manufacturers out there that are less expensive with a quicker turn around.

I got a set of upgraded 5-leaf springs from ATS Springs. They were around $550 or so with shackles and new hardware. Not fancy ones like Deavers, but they rode well and gave a good bit of lift to my 98 E250

I’d reach out to Alcon spring in Grad Junction CO. They are just as good as atlas or deaver without the added costs. They know there stuff.

Greetings - my van is a bit "tired" in the rear end also - and am beginning to research how I can lift it without full RIP Kit. Called local Ford dealer - with VIN # in hand - and he found NO OEM parts listed for rear leaf spring "blocks." Someone on this forum stated "be sure to get OEM Ford spring blocks" - as non-oem parts (alum especially) can crack, break, etc. Anyone know who makes one piece forged spring blocks ? Appreciate feedback !

would you happen to remember the P/N for the springs you ordered? There are OEM fitment leaf springs that several people sell P/N 43-1041 (both HD and regular) that I've been looking at, but I've yet to see/hear anyone online talk about them.

That’s who I used, (Alcan). I had some warranty issues, and was not totally satisfied with the reworked springs, but I recently learned that during that time, the business was for sale and he didn’t seem very interested in resolving my issue. Now, there are new owners who may be more focused on putting out a quality product.
