WTB: Wheels and tires

Looking for some 16" wheels with or without tires, to fit E350 2wd (ie. 8 on 6.5). If "alloys" is the right term for anything other than the stock, steel wheels, then alloys are what I'm looking for

As far as tires, would like 265/75/16s in good condition. Perhaps someone upgraded to larger wheels or tires, or converted to 4x4 and the new bolt pattern, and still has their old ones?

I'm in WA but would pay for shipping for the right set/price.

Cheers!
Mike.

Re: WTB: Wheels and tires

Finding 8x6.5 can be a little challenging. I found many good options locally on CraigsList, but ended up having to buy new to get what I wanted. The biggest challenge I had was wanting black and not chrome. I also noticed that 8x6.5 rims usually came with tires significantly larger than 32 inch.

You can get steel aftermarket rims. They're cheaper and a bit heavier. Aluminum alloy wheels will be a bit lighter but will cost more. I went with Teflon coated aluminum.

I believe these are 8x6.5 and are in your state:

If you wanna pony up the cash, here are some sexy chrome wheels with way more rubber than you need:

(note: this is an example of "significantly larger than 32 inch")

Good catch, ty... that was the other issue I ran into... all the new fords seem to be 8x170.

Here's another possible option... doesn't say the year of the f250 they came off of nor do I see the bolt pattern:

Those may be 8 x 6.5.

Pre-SuperDuty wheels were 8 x 6.5. I'm thinking the change was around 1999 and later are 8 x 170.

Re: WTB: Wheels and tires

Thanks Zaskoda, thanks Mike. You found my part of the world pretty easily - those last ones are in my town. This is big truck country out here, lots of big tires for sale

I'll keep an eye on craigslist, but I figured there must be folks here who have upgraded their wheels and not gotten rid of them?

Cheers!
Mike.

Pardon my ignorance. I want to see if I under stand this. You can use a set of 16.5x8.5 H1 wheels on an E250 or E350 van. You can probably use a set of 255R70/16 tires on an unmodified 2wd. The extra half inch of the rims is overcome by sandwiching the two halves of the wheels together. The main advantage of this is running lower tire pressures when you need to.
