4800 mile Trans America Adventure Ride

One of my old District 37 racing friends came by the house Saturday with an invitation to do an adventure ride across country that will take a month to complete , beginning in Tennessee
and finishing in Oregon . If any of you are interested in this well planned and exciting adventure then check out this web sight http://www.transamtrail.com

Gregg,
This looks like a lot of fun and the Trans Am Trail is quite a popular route for regulars over on Advrider.com. Do a search over there and you'll find a lot of detailed and very well done ride reports from others who have done all or parts of the route.

I'd like to try the western sections. That, and the continental divide route from Canada to Mex.

Have fun.
R

Re: 4800 mile Trans America Adventure Ride

Sounds like fun! I usually do a week to 10 days motorcycle dual sport trip every summer. Last summer it was a version off the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route (OBDR). The summer before that we did the Olympic Loop and a bunch of smaller rides. Camping the entire way and being completely self supported except for gas station stops for fuel. Some of the best times of my life. This year we are doing the Tour of Idaho a 1300 mile dirt bike tour across the entire state of Idaho. http://www.motorcyclejazz.com/TID.htm Going to take 8 days and carry fuel for a 250 +mile range. Going to be exciting.

Roonie.

I would be interested in any route suggestions for the Olympics. I am planning to head there on my GS this summer..
