Accident Rant!

Just pissed off! I just finished the SMB getting it dialed in. I had to move it to the street to shuffle my vehicles around. Not even 2 minutes and some FN DUI case side swipes the van. He snapped the aluminess ladder, tore of my bushwacker and mud flap, and dented the van. SOB! It is a good thing the aluminess is aluminum. If it were steel and attached much better it would of peeled the van like a can opener. I have actually had nightmares about getting in accidents. They are such expensive and custom vehicles that I hoped it would never happen. SOB!!!!!!!!

Re: Accident Rant!

Sorry to hear about your van. Glad you didn't get hurt.

I hate drunk drivers. No one is safe.

I sure hope he got caught and has insurance or assets.

Mike

Re: Accident Rant!

It turned out to be a problematic nieghbor from the street behind me. He was driving a rental car that he chose not to insure. He does have insurance. The rental car got pretty jacked up. They were really excited when I called them.

Re: Accident Rant!

Glad you and your family are okay.

Between the drunks and the cell phone addicts, driving around town can be the most dangerous driving you do. I end up shuffling vehicles out of the driveway and onto the street just like you did, and am very aware of the looney drivers in the neighborhood.

Several years ago one night (preSMB) some drunk drove through our front yard and flattened our mailbox then exited through the driveway. To prevent further such behavior, I anchored the new mailbox in a pile of small boulders and planted aspen trees around it. I guess someone could still knock it down, but they would leave several pieces of their vehicle's undercarriage behind this time.
