Aluminess looking for customer testimonials!

Hey everyone,

We're looking to update our website here at Aluminess with a 'testimonials' page...we've heard so many good stories we think it's time to start writing them down! We love hearing what you think about our products, customer service, and/or stories about things that have happened to you on the road. Please send us an email (aluminess@sbcglobal.net) with your name, testimonial/story, and a picture of your rig and/or pictures of any incidents where the bumper proved its strength! Thanks!

Please keep in mind that the pictures you send in will be up on the Aluminess website, so only send pictures you are ok with having posted!

We look forward to hearing from you all!

Thanks again,

The Aluminess Family

Re: Aluminess looking for customer testimonials!

Well, I have a funny story. At least for me, and proves the strength of the Aluminess bumpers. I was picking up my necessary supplies at Costco (like everyone does) when young lady accidentally backed in my van. Unfortunantley for her she hit the corner of my rear bumper. It severly damaged her Volvo v-70 wagon, which was new until then. Anyway, not a scratch on my bumper. She offered to exchange insurance information. I told it really was necessary since I really couldn't tell where she hit me. Wish I had pictures of her car, but it wasnt pretty.

Re: Aluminess looking for customer testimonials!

I got a kick out of the BW post some time back.
For me, I destroyed a Nissan Altima with my rig. Backing slowly because of a pedestrian behind me, I slowly backed (less than .1 MPH) noticed the van was stuck on something, maybe a speed bump? So I applied a bit more throttle, which destroyed the Altima's trunk. Whoops! I still don't know why she didn't try to get out of the way of a BIG vehicle backing up. Her trunk was caved in but my Aluminess bumper only had a smudge of red paint.

These are lovely stories. I wonder if they're what Aluminess is looking for.

Re: Aluminess looking for customer testimonials!

My wife hit the trailer... apparently the new backup camera doesn't have a wide enough angle of view It pulled up a nice fold of aluminum from the Aluminess corner, but no more than you could do with a screwdriver, and being from Indiana the knowledge that that scrape will NOT rust at all is priceless!

I also recently pulled my tray and used the tray side tubes as a 35" spare carrier... it's great to have something so versatile, although the older style bolts holding the tray were completely rusted and will have to be replaced.

Of course I doubt Dave can use my opinions anyway, as they are a great supporter of the forum and I'm certainly biased towards their stuff!
