Andrew Murray Winery open house (11 Oct)

Andrew Murray winery is having an Open House this Saturday. I believe the times are 11:00am - 4:00pm. Great wines. The winery is nothing to look at since they moved out of their leased winery a few years ago, but I care about the wine and not the winery gift shop that most wineries have become. The Open House is at the winery, and not at the tasting room in Los Olivos.

The cost is $10 / person for non-members. The usually have some very decent food, along with somebody playing acoustic guitar. We'll be there with my parents. Not sure yet if we'll be there with the SMB or not (still at the shop). The RV repair business appears to be booming.

Not advocating drinking and SMB'ing by any means, but thought I'd pass it on for anyone in SoCal this weekend.

Unfortunately, their website doesn't show anything about their open house. My wife is shooting the winery manager an e-mail to see if there are any more details. I will confirm the times ASAP.

[EDIT (response from the winery manager): We are open from 11-4pm at the winery. The address is 5095 Zaca Station Rd, Los Olivos CA 93441. We are behind Firestone Winery and we share the same entrance on Zaca Station Rd. We will have light hors d’oeuvres, live music by Owen Plant, and we will be pouring 11 wines.]

I would join you there but I will be off on a flyfishing trip in the Sierra and northern CA.

You might see if you and or other SMB's could boondock at the winery after the event. Things are pretty casual up here in the valley.

Just a thought.

Would love to boondock there, but with my son and my parents along, I don't think it's going to happen. Great idea though.
