Camp fire in Ca?

Are you asking about whether you're allowed to have one? It's best to check with the agency that owns the land you're going to be camping on. The US Forest Service, for example, has a website for each national forest that has a link to current restrictions.
Most currently allow fires only in developed campgrounds.

I did not think any fires were allowed anywhere in any forest.

I never have a fire. Hate them. Especially when the neighboring camper's fire is filling your SMB with horrible smoke while you're trying to sleep.

No Camp fires in any forest in Ca. They have shut down most all forest access roads in the central coast, Big Sur, coastline. Forest service says no fires till at least October.

I saw similar regulations for another area a couple of weeks ago and thought that was interesting. It is important to look these up for wherever you plan to camp in CA because a "campfire permit" may be necessary even for using a portable stove or lantern. No actual campfires allowed of course.

Yes, a fire permit is required, stoves, lanterns and you are required to have water to in case a fire starts right next to each item. You can go online and take a little test and get the fire permit. All forest are closed for camp fires as I understand now. Joe
