Re: "EDC"

Considering that a bullet can cost you 100K+ even if you're on the right side of the law, I've pondered purchasing a Taser C2 to supplement my normal carry stuff.

Re: "EDC"

You can tase someone, they fall and crack their head then his family can sue you in civil court just the same. Minus well use something that will put holes in the bad guy

I really like the fact that it has a stun gun backup. I always felt there were too many variables in firing the Taser probes and hoping for two good contacts. We have a couple of stun guns. One comes along when camping, and the other one typically get carried when walking our dog to take care of any loose dogs that come running up. The sound alone will turn around just about any dog, let alone a human.

Yeah but nothing like the way they make you the bad guy with a gun in court. Where it happens has a lot to do with it for sure. In Ca if I hit some jerk in the head with a Club used to lock my steering wheel while he's threatening my life I doubt the family will have the upper hand suing me compared to me shooting the *******. The fact is a Taser is considered an non-life threatening device compared to a handgun. I'm not saying that pulling a weapon isn't a good deterrent when in a situation but that's a judgement call. My point is the Taser is just another tool. I've been in that situation and the last thing I want to do is to shoot some dickhead and his family ends up taking me to court. I understand a dead man can tell no lies but I'd rather avoid that is possible. At least with a Taser you can say my intent was not to kill the person and that makes it a good EDC weapon. Each situation dictates your options.

Re: "EDC"

It's definitely a debate on its own DaveB. For me it's either run away or all bets are off and put holes in bad guy.

Re: "EDC"

I look at it like this....

Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it!
