Fire check

Maybe not the best Forum category given the situation, but does anyone affected by the fires in SoCal need anything?

The Ventura area is clear of fires as far as I know, and the winds have kept the smoke away as well. As of this morning, most north/south freeways were closed however, so getting here may not be the easiest thing to do.

I blew by the fire this AM... in Corona when it first started heading into OC.
I knew it wasn't going to be good, but had obligation to work a friends Jeep.
Yorba linda broke out only about 2 hours into wrenching process.

After that ...

Grandpa has been evacuated.
Aunt has been evacuated.
Cousins house (he just moved last week) burned down.
My buddies M37 Army truck may be burned to the ground.
The 91 is closed.
The 57 is closed.
The 241 and 261 are closed.

I had to head home (Corona) via Ortega Highway with millions of others it seemed like. Took 3 hours.

Im home in Corona now, watching the fire burn in Chino Hills State Park out the backyard and hoping the wind doesnt change directions. The Sportsmobile is loaded and ready to go. Clothes and important papers are too.

Here are my pics from our patio..

Well I guess the show is over here. I know 4 families that lost houses so far. Lots of trucks, choppers and other equipment left SB today for the OC fires. Best of luck to you all down there.

Fires

I hope that you guyrs are all doing well. We have sent 2 engines down. I think that they are both in the LA area. The first one wnet to SB, but I belive that they are all done in SB. Wish I could do more to help, but I am stuck here in Nor Cal covering the fire stations. Stay safe.
