I've got the usual supplies: plenty of food, water, dog food, batteries, flashlights, radio, cash (for when the ATMs go down), candles, etc. Everything is charged up.
My van is parked well above sea level, although it is literally parked over the Hudson River. If the pier goes down, so goes Whitey Ford. In a real blackout/power situation, I'd go get it, park in front of the building, and use it as my portable generator/living space.
I'm a few blocks up from the Hudson, but low enough for the river to really just be an extension of the harbor. "Evacuation Zone 2," they call it. And since we are all relativists during a storm, my people feel bad for the people down the block in "Evacuation Zone 1."
I don't think it'll come to that, but who knows? The subways may get shut down. They'll figure that one out tomorrow. The biggest issue I can foresee will be getting the little desert dog to go walking in the torrential rain for the next few days.
I'm about 10 or 12 feet above sea level.
I'm going to go grind some coffee.
