Greggde, thank you! This site is a goldmine. Unlike some, we do do campgrounds and travel our area quite a bit. So I checked the listings for Washington state and found stuff that would have helped us a lot on some of our trips. Some of the spots are indeed only "way stations" or specialty stops (like the local casinos), but some of them are in really nice areas and offer some special features. On our way home recently from the Columbia Gorge, we stopped at the Pendleton Woolen Mills outlet a little way west of Vancouver (WA, not the Canadian one). We did not want to motor on up I-5 for more than an hour to the nearest known RV place, so we asked the nice Pendleton folks if there was an RV place nearby. They said sure - their parking lot. Dry camping, under a big tree in a small town, quiet and secure, and absolutely free. This day and age, that can be significant!
