Looks like a French adventure organizer likes SMBs

http://www.exploratorem.com/4x4/raid-4x4-france/

Wonder where they got the pic from?

There seems to be something wrong with this picture. Can anyone else tell what it is ?

Well, unless the French version of the E350 has the tailpipe on the left (drivers) side, I would say the photo is mirrored.

Re: French website - not so French vans!!!

Sure....the photo has been flipped right for left. There is a Land Cruiser in the front and I suspect that it is a photo of Bill Burke's SMB Rally trip from Silverton. I'd have to dig out photos of the trip we took with him to see if it was our trip. I don't recall the cruiser top though...

If the photo is of Bill Burke leading a trip at a SMB rally, he does drive a D90. But if the picture is reversed, wouldn't that actually place him at the end of the line?

At least it looks like they blacked out the license plates in the pic, but the pic is a little misrepresentative if this outfit had nothing to do with that trip.

Re: French website - not so French vans!!!

Personally i would say over here the think it will go unnoticed...

I think more respect should be due and at least a request to use the pic should be a good idea....
But that's only my 2 cents...

Re: French website - not so French vans!!!

Regardless of the mirroring & other photoshop work (no corporate logo ETC...).

Yvrr is right. This looks one hell of a lot like part of the 2006 Silverton CO Rally.

I was there - while I can't be 100% sure, this photo was taken at the 2006 Silverton Rally, I'd be willing to put a big bet on it. I believe that it is in deed Bill Burke's D-90 in the front.

Any one recognize thier rig?

The photo was reversed (mirrored) and modified. Look at the compass at the top of the page. North up, South down, and West to the right? Huh? and the awnings are over the driver's side? Huh? Spare Tires on the right side? No license plates?

Wow. Major photo editing.
