Have you seen Rusty?

A few of the old members here will remember my first SMB, Rusty, a 1995 Quigley SMB. It's history is well documented here and I'm trying to find out where it is these days.

I sold it to a gentlemen from Baltimore who quickly went bigger with an ambo build and sold it to a young guy named Austin. Austin then wanted bigger and bought an EB selling it to a couple who contacted me once but I don't remember who or where. If I remember right they were trying to price it to yes, sell again. I was bummed for a long time wondering why no one would just love and keep Rusty as I did. I probably had it longer than any other vehicle I've ever had.

Anyway, has anyone seen this van? I'm hoping maybe it belongs to a quiet or seldom seen member here.

Garage
That was a sweet van. 460 powered, wasn’t she?

Maybe you can backtrack through your original buyer, and then start working your way up the chain of connections each person sold Rusty to.....? Would be interesting to see how far she’d roamed.

Thanks all. Yes, big old 460. Herb, perhaps a bit nostalgic but I've actually been meaning to post this for quite some time. Lately a few vans have changed hands between members and it's made me think of it a bit more.

@86Scotty if you really loved it you would not have sold it in the first place [emoji41]

I can understand you nostalgia for Rusty. You put a lot of time and effort into getting it setup.

By the way I still have your old blue van. We think about selling it every once in a while. Then we do a last minute road trip to the beach and remember why we still have it.
