Health insurance for Baja??
Have any of you purchased travel health insurance for Mexico? I have been down to Baja a handful of times and never have thought about it. Vehicle insurance yes, but not health.
What are your thoughts?
I searched the topic with no relevant answers.

Health care there is so inexpensive relatively....and if it is really serious, consider scurrying back to the US...some buy life flight type insurance as a part of vehicle insurance, but the speed at which it can occur due to the insurance caveats is not appealing...

I read recently that the State Department has a warning about hospitals over charging, withholding health information and passports in the area around Cabo. Do not remember where I saw it.

That is what I have thought in the past. Thanks for the confirmation.

Travel Medical Insurance. Saved a friends life quite a few years ago in Costa Rica. THere's a variety of reasonable options depending on length of stay, coverage, etc.

Does anyone know if the same issues apply at the San Jose Del Cabo location?
Thanks.

Agree, but remember you pay up front, and the price goes up depending on the severity.
In my personal first hand experience, don't expect them to take credit cards.
Travel Insurance with repatriation is good value IMHO.
