Re: Hillbilly Racing

That was frickin' hilarious. Reminds me a little of when we used to play crack-the-whip as a kid, but here they use 4000lb cars and do it while racing.

Re: Hillbilly Racing

Looks like fun; but not near as death defying as the Canadian Hillbillys.

Hillbilly Racing

Hi;

We go to Varney and always love to see the trains. Crazy to see 6 trains on a 1/4 mile track. They are so popular that they get appearance money to race. Not a whole lot, but every bit helps.

I believe they do similar races down south too. Google and check it out.

Now back to my ice fishing hut.

Regards,

Gavin

Re: Hillbilly Racing

I've seen trailer racing, and school bus racing back in Indiana, but never train racing...

Re: Hillbilly Racing

Hi;

Well you are more than welcome to stay here. I've got acres of space and we are about 45 minutes from Varney.

They just posted the new rules for 2013 including trains. Dig around the website:

http://www.varneyspeedwaymotorplex.com/index.php

It would be very interesting to see a few SMB's parked in the lot at Varney! I know the track owner would make us very welcome.

Regards,

Gavin
