Honda Element Pop Top

Saw this at my local REI today. The top costs almost as much as SMB top! Sorry about the bad picture.

Re: Honda Element Pop Top

I've heard a lot about these tops. What's worse is since you enter from the inside through the sunroof hole it means you for the most part have to have the Element empty of stuff. We'll if you have it empty of stuff just sleep in the Element. I guess it could give accomidations for 4.

I have an Element as my daily driver and sleeping in it is top notch. We use two rock climbing bouldering pads for the bed; both are 3" thick, one is 36"x48" and the other is 40"x48" with this and the seats all folded flat there is still some room in the front for bags. The manual flip open windows and rear sunroof are really nice. One of my favorites is to poop the sunroof off and sit with my head and shoulders out the sunroof and star gaze.

Re: Honda Element Pop Top

That looks pretty cool but the small access hole would really bother me and may feel a little claustrophobic. Kids would love it though like a secret fort. It would be tough for a family to use on trips. Great idea! Glad to see people thinking outside the box.

Re: Honda Element Pop Top

I spotted one of those the other day (a white one) but did not know it was a pop-up. Kind of a neat idea but you have to climb through the old sunroof??

Re: Honda Element Pop Top

They are actually converted by a company in San Diego (Chula Vista). I've seen a couple although they have always been driving by. Looking at the pictures, it is a small access "hatch" to the upper section.

Don't hate! When the only full size vans are transits this size, you'll know where to get a top!
