How is Bill Burke's Sportsmobile class?

I've been thinking of signing up and want to know more.

If you've taken the class, what are your thoughts? Is it worth it, what's covered and how technical is it?

David

David, as an mostly in-experienced 4WDriver, I would give it an A rating for sure. Take a look at my write-up from last spring's class in Moab here.

Sporties are not jeeps. They are big heavy trucks and Bill Burke can show you how to drive them safely in the backcountry. The only things I wish I had done that I didn't do in the class would be switching out with my wife so that she could get more 4WDriving experience, and some tips on spotting. Bill Burke did all the spotting for the vehicles in the class and he is an incredible expert at reading terrain. It would have helped me to stand out there and try to figure out where to direct a driver to put a tire.

Of course if I had spotted, we would still be stuck out there north of Moab. Not that being stuck in Moab is a bad thing.
