Sorry Jage. Been there. It will get better!  Oh, better does not mean easy. You should probably buy a big diesel pusher motorhome for a few years, then sell it when they're 5 or 6. 
I'm with Dave on the name. Overlanding makes camping sound more fun, though I still call it camping, exploring or just traveling. Usually at work I just like to say "I'm going out of town." That's all they need to know and it means less of a chance my phone will ring.

In the month that we've had our current rig we're currently at 2 trips with a total of 6 nights/8 days out wandering around the greater Steamboat Springs area and ID/WY. Looking forward to racking up some more in the not too distant future...

For me, all nights since September 15th 2013 ! No, that's not true, I should say all minus 1 that I spent in my small tent during a two day hike...

this year about 60 days. Next year from August on i will count like Pschitt.....365 minus

Nicely done! All traveling?
We're running 70+ days now and don't plan on stopping before Sept. We won't do a fall trip this year, so that will be it pretty much for 2014. If I can keep ski days and SMB days around 100, I'm happy.

Probably average 60 nights/yr. Lots of one night camping while traveling to places like Alaska. Sometimes 3-7 nights in one spot ( Denali, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Etc.

44 nights so far this year..... Last few years it's been between 120 and 140.

Not so much this year. LOTS of day trips in the van. Almost every weekend DEC-MAY, with maybe a dozen nights altogether. With construction booming in Portland, I haven't really been able to take much time off over the last year and half. Most of the ski trips have been with a half dozen or so of us, which is too many to overnight inside the van (which was a big deciding factor in getting the new trailer).
Past years when it was easy to take off several weeks at a time, there were many months when I'd spend more nights in the van than at home!
Doing all day trips has not been good on the odometer. I'm up to 385,000. At this rate I'll be at 400k by Christmas, and that's without any long trip planned  Getting through the summer on my current set of tires (installed OCT-'12) is really going to be pushing it.

Still waiting on our van to get out of the shop! We are itching to get out and use it. It's only been since the end of May that we bought it. I guess we used it 3 nights on our way home from Taos. Oh and our son and his wife used it 4 nights on their honeymoon.
