Re: Huge land closure proposed for Sierra Nevada range.

Well, it wasn't exactly the only problem I had with the post, it's just the one that made me run screaming for the exit.

In fact, aside from our mutual love of vans, whitewater, the great outdoors, and the US of A, we probably have very few opinions in common. Except maybe the 2nd amendment; I'm a big fan.

I'd love to sit around a campfire with you sometime, killing beers and solving the problems of the world.
Between the two of us we can probably cover every crack pot political theory know to man.

Words are cheap. So I use a lot of them. But come on, at least I cite to my authorities.

I was trying to think how to say it, but twogone nailed it.

oldbonesclimber said what I said but better in just a couple of sentences...

So he is truly the wisest.

Edit: hogasm's post is technically longer than mine as well as being more informative:

But hopefully mine is more entertaining...

Re: Huge land closure proposed for Sierra Nevada range.

Thanks for the compliments.
The real immediate problem seems to be the authorities protecting us from ourselves. My son and I take some prerunner trips with a few other friends where we can CRANK in Death Vally and the Mojave Road 70+. Do it right and all is well. I have imformed him this is all going to end sooner than later. Someone STUPID is going to overdo it , Cause a tragety, and cause the Park Service to modify things so it is SAFE for EVERYONE. Remember the authorities are here for the masses who have never left the city. I had to give up hunting because the NATURE FAKERS have too much voting power.

WHEW ,,,,More than I wanted to Vent.

Re: Huge land closure proposed for Sierra Nevada range.

PS
When I was climbing a few years ago (too many) We ran in to a YOSAR group. i.e.. Yosemite Search And Rescue. Their general consensus was the they were "Interfiering with the Process of Natural Selection" as they were mostly called out for someone or some situation that should have been unnecessary in the first place.

Whew

Sorry but the more control on what we do the better they are. Just my opinion but if all get in electric self driving cars hmmmm my 800 mile range is now 0
