I love it. Or at least 99% of it. There's something hokey about that rounded rear end shape. I dunno, maybe it will grow on me. Someone send me one to test and I will see.
The interior, however, is absolutely amazing. Why has no one ever thought of inflatable (and therefore insulating) tent canvas?
The Euro RVs, and especially van-based RVs, are so much nicer than most of what we have here in the USA. Functional, well-designed, and well-constructed (based on ones I've seen in person). I'm still surprised we haven't seen very much cross-over here to the USA. When Hymer Group entered the NA market I thought it would shake things up, but with the implosion of Roadtrek, not so much.
I also had high hopes that Hymer would bring innovative European campervan designs to North America when they bought Roadtrek in 2016. Obviously that turned into a failure!
Perhaps we'll get a second shot now that Rapido Group, the owner of Westfalia in Europe, has bought the remains of Roadtrek out of bankruptcy. They've announced a two year plan to revive Roadtrek initially, then will consider whether to bring Westfalia units to North America.
It would be nice to see Westy back in the states again!
More like $250k is what I think I saw somewhere.........love the unique features it has though and love seeing something new and fresh even if it's something I will never buy.
