Re: Is installing a safe usefull?

I've thought about installing a small safe inside a hidden compartment I made in my closet. But I have yet to find one that is both big enough to hold my small laptop, DSLR, etc., while also fitting into the space.

On occasion I've thought about getting a small battery powered radio and leaving it on in the van while I'm away (with the curtains drawn) to make people think somebody's "at home" when I'm away from the van.

Re: Is installing a safe usefull?

My safe is not "hidden" but inside a cabinet and why when they broke into my van at the dealership they ripped it out. Luckily they dropped the safe. I don't consider a safe as a hidden compartment.

No one is searching my van without my permission or a warrant - except at the border where my Constitutional Rights don't exist anymore - but I'm safer. lol
