I opened my REI dividend pamphlet and immediately on the inside this is what I see. Mrs ShuttlePilot came rushing into the kitchen to see what the yelling was about. On the upside anyone who is selling could probably add another couple of thousand onto their price.

I read through this necrothread and I too have noticed a change in interest. A few years ago we camped outside of Lakeview, OR and I felt like our shiny van marked us as "city folk" where all the locals had truck campers.

More recently I am working with a 30 something lady here in town and she went apeshit over the idea of a camper van.

We visit Hood River a bit and there are LOTS of vans, mainly Sprinters. I think the REI catalog hit the nail on the head for the outdoor rec. crowd
