Re: It's a small world

Eric

Who's been blowin oil all over the front of your trailer? You didn't loose a transmission seal did you?

As for my work week....lets see

I was on the clock for 54.5 hours and drove 1528 miles. How'd your dispatcher treat you? The key to staying active on the Sportsmobile Forum is Ipadding from the sleeper.

I would have had more time on the clock but I gave away a 4 hour 170 mile run.

Good question, that just got there the day I took the pic and I hadn't driven it for a few days. The guy I share it with is totally meticulous and it's been written up already without a doubt.

Wow, you had a good one! I've worked 6 days the last month, but I had a real short one this week. Really trying to get the van back together. Watch my build thread for interestin' updates!

Re: It's a small world

6 days last month? Damnit-Man......with that much time off you should have your van all pimped by now!

I made the mistake of telling management I was working to much and would like to cut back on my hours. Yep, they added another run to my week. I'm switching tactics on them.....I'm going to tell em I'm in the poor house and need to work as many hours as possible. That should get them to cut me back a little.

Cool John, thanks for sharing. You've obviously had more downtime at work than me this week!

Hey both of your pleasure trucks are similar as well...

Both Fords, both window vans, both V-8s although different sizes, and both high tops...

Lol, 6 days A WEEK for the last month!

Jamie, that's coming from the stack. I've never seen a truck, any truck, spit like that, but we had torrential rains recently. I wonder if some water got down the stack and puked up some goo when it was started? No other problems with truck and they get thoroughly pretripped by every driver, but it's possible that one sat for a few days during all that rain. I was in another and it doesn't have a flap on the stack. Oh, also, they wash them like once a month now. Outrageous budget constraints. It used to be almost every day!

Re: It's a small world

I've had gear oil get tossed by the driveline before that looked a lot like the trailer in the picture. Don't remember if the oil was coming out of the transmission, splitter box or the front rear diff though. I think it was the front rear diff on a twin screw. I seem to remember being surprised when maintenance told me to go ahead and do another Portland-Seattle-Portland run with it. It sure made a mess on the front of the trailer.

Re: It's a small world

I'm not sure why Eric thinks I have more down time during my day than he does. He's the one with the time to send new messages to the Sportsmobile forum. I took this picture sitting in my office today. I had 28 minutes till my pull time out of Corvallis at 1701.

Anyone know what that little red light under the fuel gauge on the dash means?

Lol, actually I have no idea. I'll have to look closer later today.

It's great that we can all be so productive at work! I've been working on my build thread lately (not while driving of course).
