Joanna - I hope you are safe and I wish you the best of luck. I just read that Dolly is now a category II hurricane

Update from Texas...

Those of you watching have probably seen that the storm slowed, strengthened and turned north a bit. That turning north may have saved South Padre from some of the more severe winds.

I had a note from Joanna on Monday that she had already filled the fuel tank and that they were in the process of packing. It sounded like she would be leaving on Tuesday given the wind expected Today (Wednesday).

...but it would be nice to hear from her so we know she is ok...

Agree, but unless we know she has portable internet access, we may not hear until she gets back to her home.

Hi all,
I had PM'd Joanna and she replied this morning at 11:30PSD:

Hey, Steve,
We're fine. We decided to drive to Laredo about 4 hours NW to escape and it's been interesting. I'll have my own version of a "trip report" when we get back in a couple of days.
Thanks for checking,
Love the SMB4UM.
Joanna
It is good to hear from her.
