I have been on this forum for many years but rarely post. I do browse it for entertainment or if I have an issue with my 2006 SMB that I need help with. Today was a double header:
The carpet in front of the driver's seat was wet this spring for the first time ever. I figured it was because I had a new windshield put in last spring and the van sits outside all winter. There is a thread on here about seams leaking on the A pillars. It might be the window seal, it might be the pillar, but I learned a lot reading the thread.
I discovered my Solara flexible solar panels are not producing any power a few weeks ago. They were installed by SMB a year after I got the van so they are ten years old now. They started to delaminate several years ago but finally gave up completely at some point. There is a thread on this forum with photos showing these same panels on other vans that had exactly the same issues. I need to figure out which panels to get to replace them but the thread had a lot of good background info and I learned a lot from it.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to post and respond to threads on this forum. Sometimes it's depressing to read about all the problems people have with their vans, but I'm damn glad to have this forum to help me feel like I'm not the only one!
