Great off-road event.
I'm coming down from Wa to spectate.
Camping thurs eve Feb 7th at the event. Staying at Butterfield Ranch the eve of the 8th on rd S2 by Anza Borrego.
Not sure if my van will be there - this is a shakedown run for my new buggy, and yes street legal.
Doing the Diablo Drop at Anza.

Look for me in this.

Giant Rock near Landers, CA

Re: King of the Hammers?

Not my pic LeadDoggy! Nice on knowing the area.
It was the for sale pic - I don't know the area that well coming from Wa.
I'll have current pics of my buggy in my ownership in a couple of weeks.
It has lowrance gps, race radio and so many extras.
GM ecotech watercooled motor. 165 hp on a fresh built transmission, power steering!
Custom rear seating for LEG ROOM!
I can't wait! M very stoked to go to the Hammers. Never been.
PM me if anyone wants to hook up and drink cold ones and take pics.
Am I excited?

Re: King of the Hammers?

Couldn't make it this year but here's a video I found of 1st place and 2nd place winners. In case your wondering crawling over other trucks is not allowed and either is throwing rocks...

Should have been DQ'd in my opinion. Allow that, and how long before someone is hurt or killed?

He was the overall winner - leading at that point and the other two were down a lap. He knew that second place and two time winner Shannon Campbell was only minutes behind him - I'd say he had a winning attitude!

Re: King of the Hammers?

What happened to Shannon?
He was leading by 20 minutes when we had to leave for Anza (first time through Chocolate Thunder).

We had a great time at the Hammers. Super cool night time crawling out there.

My Baja ruled the bumps running the trails out there. Kings shocks are the best.
