looking for a place to winter camp in the van

My wife is a big Cross-Country ski person. I want to take her to a place where we camp in the van, get up in the morning and go skiing. Does anyone know of a place like this? Basically a place that has groomed xc trails with camping close by. ANy info would be much appreciated!

It would be helpful to know where you are and how far you're willing to travel.

HooDoo has full hookups. Willamette Pass has 15amp electric. The other ski areas (including all NW Snow Parks) all allow RV parking but you won't have any RV services.

Anthony Lakes in eastern Oregon allows camping, and they have really good trails plus backcountry CC skiing. We stayed there years ago and they even had an electrical plug in for free.

Snoparks are OK but you have to listen to snowmobiles until 2AM.

For an upscale experience, try Mt. Bachelor. They allow overnight parking and have heated restrooms and even a shower (pay shower). Its a short walk over to the CC ski lodge. There is a fee for trail use.

Thanks for the replies! I'm in the midwest for those wondering and will travel a few days if needed.

Try Jackson, WY. You would be a great fit.
