Re: My BF Goodrich MT KM2's gave up and separated.

I drove 1100 miles in the last few days to the Grand Canyon and back. First time ever over 300 miles per tank. (31 Gallons) Probably could do 325 miles, maybe more on flat ground. 275/70 is a sweet spot perhaps.

Re: My BF Goodrich MT KM2's gave up and separated.

After I bought these tires, not the first set of not cheap tires from BFG, they reduced the rebated from $75 to $70!!!

After I gave them a good review, publicized the tires, and they short me $5 bucks!!

Cheap and low class. For 4% bucks they loose a customer. Buttheads....

Re: My BF Goodrich MT KM2's gave up and separated.

I've always wondered if rim size had anything to do with tire failure...perhaps not. It's still strange that I've never had a BFG failure and my van is so heavy... I even ran D's for the first few years before switching to E's. I'm now a Toyo fan but they seem to melt away just as fast.

I wonder about sizes as well. but my real guess is honestly either production date (my blowout had brassy wires along with good looking ones), or non-abs panic stops (mine had two of those on them before they went).

Pretty sure a tire should be able to take a few panic stops without falling apart, abs or not. Otherwise you'd be replacing your tires everytime you hard stopped just to be safe. Disposable tires, there's an idea before it's time....
