Re: Once lost, now found
My local paper had a pic of their Jeep flipped upside down in the snow. Looked pretty ominous. I'm glad they were all OK. Bad luck can happen to anyone.

Re: Once lost, now found
Filling a spare tire with hot rocks and putting it in the jeep was brilliant. Calm heads usually prevail.

Re: Once lost, now found
The takeaway is: always stay with your vehicle. It can provide shelter, fuel and can be seen from the air.

Re: Once lost, now found
Glad to hear they were all safe. Was wondering though how they belted everyone in .. 2 adults and 4 kids. The vehicle only has 5 belts .. 2 in the front and 3 in the back.

Re: Once lost, now found
They could have been double buckled. I have a nephew that has more kids that seat belts. That is what he does. Not safe. Highly illegal. Not to smart.

Re: Once lost, now found
As I understand it, the jeep slid and rolled slowly. More like a boat capsize than a highway speed flip. Being unbelted probably wouldn't be that dangerous. Even more comfortable than being left hanging upside down by the seat belt.

Re: Once lost, now found
I've been upside down, held up by my seatbelt. It was not uncomfortable - shock hides many things. The worst part was undoing the seatbelt and hitting my head on the roof of the car.
