Portland RV and Van Show

Hey all,

A couple of weeks ago, I took my girls to the Portland RV and van show to see if I could find anything interesting. I found a lot of really big, fancy RV's that would allow their owners to drag all the comforts of home to whatever extension of rampant suburbia they chose to go to. There wasn't much in the way of vans. A few Roadtreks, and Van Specialties was there with a couple of Sprinter examples. V-S really does nice work.

There was a nice area that looked a bit more familiar with some vehicle tents, a few interesting trailers (not 4WD), and a new builder of 4WD camper trailers. Here are their cards and brochures if you're interested - Cascade Vehicle Tents, Dub Box USA, Recon Trailers, and Xtreme Coatings. I'll post a few more photos later.

Jack

OK, it's now later...

Here are a couple of the Cascade Vehicle Tents in action. These were pretty nice and really roomy inside. Of course, there is the issue of breaking camp anytime you need to go anywhere...

And here is the Dub Box. This is a fiberglass trailer molded from the back-end of two VW vans. Pretty nice setup. This would be perfect for OSU Beavers tailgaiting.

And here are the American Dream trailers with the boat on top that were in another recent post. They are amazingly small. I think a Prius could tow these with ease. I kind of like the hot pink and black decor. Who is up for painting their Sportsmobile in those colors?

Re: Portland RV and Van Show

I see that the Dub Box has the new Beavers logo.

Thanks for the brochures.
