Quebec and Nova Scotia

So I bought another Sportsmoblie the other day, my wife and I are flying to Montreal to fetch it in 10 days. I want to drive north up passed Quebec City and do some camping then sliding over to Nova Scotia, and down to Maine. I think we may be a little early for some camping up there. Does anyone here know anything about that area? We are also looking to swing down through the Appalachian's and maybe hike the trail for a mile or 2 just to say we did it.
Any good camping along that trail for a 2wd SMB?

Thanks
Ron

You definitely should visit Acadia National Park in Maine. It is gorgeous and probably very peaceful there this time of year before the summer crowds. I visited it in the winter and really enjoyed it.

Also, remember Mike (aka Ford_6L_E350)? He took his SMB to Nova Scotia twice. He probably has some great ideas, but I don't think he gets on this site much anymore. PM me if you would like his personal contact information.

The message you have entered is too vague. Please include at least 10 pictures in your message.

+1 on the ccw. Keeps the passenger's view of the shoreline wide open. More oohs and awws from the Mrs.

Thats the one

I only bought it to resale, as I still have mine. This SMB came from the states and the owner moved to Montreal in 2007 so it is a USA van not a Canadian Vehicle.
I am toying with adding 4x4 to it. but haven't decided. If I do that it would put the price point pretty high. My aim is to keep the price of these resale Vans pretty low, Now that I'm retired i just want something to do. If I can get my cost covered and have a good time Im happy with it. I'm thinking this van as it sits would be in the area of $28,500 to cover my cost. Adding 4x4 would put it at $47.000.

Thoughts?

Ron

I posted some things from our Maine and Nova Scotia van trip last June. I'll post some ideas when I have a spare moment.

For your trip home....

This trip for us started at Gettysburg PA and then Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. We did it in May.

Another great trail is the Natchez Trace once you get west of the Smokey Mountains.
