Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Mine is a 2008 E350 and this is one of the best mods I have made for us...you buy the Ford part from your dealer (like $100). They also have to program it for you to match your keyless entry Ford FOBs. Its peel and stick and I chose to put it on the barn door. We love it because we were always asking each other who had the key or if I was mountain biking and she was walking we both had to carry keys...now neither of us carries keys, we just lock them in the van and when we get back or leave at different times its never a problem.

There are several part #s depending on the year of your vehicle. You could get one of these and then just get a spare key for emergencies at Home Depot and overall have a better setup. It comes with a 5 digit code from Ford and then you can change it.
