Re: RIP, Edie

Tell me this artwork doesn't just beg for an SMB instead of a car.

Re: RIP, Edie

What a wonderful lady - I wish I could have met her. Maybe in another life.
Happy trails, Edie!

Thanks everyone for the kind words

Hello SMB folk, you can't know how much it lifted my heart today when I discovered and read this thread honoring the memory of my Mother! (Thanks again to shenrie for pointing me here.) And a very special thanks to Scott for starting this thread.

Herb
Yes that is a good one!

But maybe this one captures the spirit a bit truer...

These are actually 3-dimensional pieces done in a Van Gogh-like impressionistic style. She made both of these back in 2010, a time when she was still taking regular trips in Alice.

As I said in my prior post on another thread, coming here to SportsMobileForums was part of her daily routine and although she didn't post very often, she thoroughly enjoyed following everyone else's adventures expressed in the various threads here.

Thank you to all here at SportsMobileForums!

Cheers,
Jeff Roberson

Re: RIP, Edie

My condolences Jeff, and thanks for checking in. I never met or heard of her before this post, but I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at her artwork on her website.

Re: RIP, Edie

Jeff, Margaret and I were pretty enchanted by Edie and her spirit that day we came to visit. We may have even met you briefly that morning. Having a tour of Alice was my first up close and personal look at an SMB and was largely responsible for my serious case of SMB fever. Still don't own one but for sure will one of these days soon. Vaya con Dios, Edie, and our best to you, Jeff. Be well and happy trails.
