Re: Send good vibes

Here is today's update:

"Jamie is still unstable and trying to keep things balanced. They are letting his body heal some before they can find out what is going on. He's getting an EEG to check for brain activity. Hope he gets a good grade. This is us 2 weeks ago.(SHE POSTED A CUTE PIC OF THEM SMOOCHING HERE) Not giving up yet. Thanks for all your love and care."

Marc

Thanks for keeping us up to date on Jamie's condition. I think of the members of the Sportsmobile forum as extended family. While this whole business is very serious and scary not knowing what's going on with Jamie would be a lot worse. I find myself checking this thread more than any thread I've followed. I just wish there was more we could do to help.

Re: Send good vibes

As soon as Suzann says it is ok, I want to go see Jamie. I hope it is soon.

Best wishes Jamie,

Mike

Re: Send good vibes

@everyone... I feel a bit awkward in this role as conduit for Jamie's struggle, thought it would get over with right away and we'd all be posting to a congrats-and-welcome-back thang by now. I appreciate y'all telling me it is OK to pass along the info.

Christine and I have never even met Jamie and Suzann, but became long-distance, etherfriends via the forum, and their appreciation for the little films. I have always appreciated the tone, content, and thoughtfulness of Jamie's forum posts, so it stood out a bit when he got very sick, very suddenly,(we found out via FaceBook, Christine and Suzann are friends) and here we are. As others have said, I agree that I would rather know than not know and be wondering where the fella went.

So, here is the latest update:
Today Jamie is going in for a liver and bone marrow biopsy. They think he's stable enough for one and hope they can get some answers. Due to his low platelets and bleeding they are going through the jugular vein in his neck for the liver biopsy using X-rays because it's safer. His doctors need some understanding of what's going on so we are doing these tests. Time is short and if we don't find an answer we'll lose him. Please send good energy for a safe procedure. Happening around noon today and being done by an interventional radiologist who everyone says is the best they've ever worked with. Thanks for your support.

Re: Send good vibes

I really do appreciate the info Marc, even if its not news we want to hear. Fingers crossed that the doctors will find something they can act on and fix. Lets get Jamie back here posting his thoughts and about camping.

Re: Send good vibes

Marc,

I'm sorry if it seems you are stuck in the middle. For one, I do appreciate your supplying us with the information, even if it is painful for all of us to hear.

I check this thread several times a day for more.

Many thanks,

Mike
