Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS
I know what a Labradoodle is, but what is an Australian Labradoodle?

SHOW US YOUR PAWS
Copied:
Australian Labradoodles also differ from early generation and Multigenerational Labradoodles in that they may also have other breeds in their ancestry. English and American Cocker Spaniel/Poodle crosses (i.e. Cockapoos), Two Irish Water Spaniels and Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers were used in some Australian Labradoodle lines.
Some more info:

We got her from a breeder here in Colorado. I made a few phone calls to some of the more well known breeders around the country as well as several other breeders in Colorado to gather as much info as I could about the particular breeder we ended up going with. We knew we wanted a smaller dog this time and most of the others didn't have a mini doodle litter ready to go and we would have had to wait, which would have been ok, but we ended up going out and seeing this pup and really felt she was the one and ended up going back for her the following week. I know lots of people have these dogs, or other dogs sent cross country on a plane, sight unseen, picked by the breeder to match a list of particular traits, nothing wrong with that, but we felt we needed to be present to see and feel a connection. There was a brother and a sister available from the same litter, plus a litter of ausidoodles avail that we didn't really connect with. We feel we ended up with the perfect pup for us, looking forward to our adventures with her.
We're also going to look into doing therapy work with her, I can see why doodles make for great therapy dogs, she's the sweetest little thing! A little muppet!

Here's our 11 year old dog Pint, who's anything but pint-sized (he now has more gray than this pic shows). 80#'s of who knows what, from a shelter in Shafter, CA. I think he's some blend of Irish Wolfhound, and maybe Staffordshire terrier.
Unfortunately, he doesn't really come along as he has dog aggression issues.
