Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS
Oh man, fun looking through this post, thanks for reviving it. We met Lulu at the toroweap meet up, great dog!
We have been borrowing our friends mini Aussie, Messi, named after Lionel Messi the soccer player, saw another mini Aussie in this post, as well as some choc labs, love them! Been dogless ourselves since we lost our 2 choc lab brothers and now 2 German shepherds. We love our friends mini Aussie, here she is on our recent excursion to Moab and beyond. Oh man that little choc labradoodle....after Alaska will start looking again, have to go hypo-allergenic, those are on the list.

My big boy passed some years ago. He loved to go together with us on tour and crossed a couple of times the sahara with us. I miss him

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS
I'd post a picture of our guinea pig but you'd all laugh at me...
We love dogs, but we also like to travel, including overseas, so that makes it difficult as we don't have any good dog-sitting options and kennels aren't for us. Maybe down the road...

SHOW US YOUR PAWS
I've lived in rural Idaho for more than a dozen years. Every year I get a new batch of stray cats. Most are very feral, and disappear over time. This was not the case with Annie. She showed up last summer and moved in under the porch. Never have I had a stray that loved people so much. Working on my van in the garage, she'd be there. Walking out to the mailbox, she'd be there. Watching TV with the front door open, she'd be there. Anyone who came to the house would see Annie trotting up to them.
I started feeding her and giving her water. When it turned cold, I made her a house with an infrared heating element--usually used for lizards--to keep her warm. I paid the neighbor kid $20 to feed her while in New Mexico last Oct. One cold day I came home and she was sitting on the porch. I asked her why she wasn't in her custom made house. Looking in the house, I could see why--three other, much larger, strays were squatting. Oh well. Two days later she was at the vet being spayed, dewormed, vaccinated etc.. She lives inside now.
She's named after Annie Hall BTW--cute, but a bit dingy. I'm a card-carrying loner, but enjoy having this little being around.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS
This is our dog Chicken. She is quite the pr hound and makes us laugh every time you see her...
About the only thing that she likes more than her personal Sportsmobile (that she lets dad pilot) is a stick a GoPro and the beach.. (video/commercial below)
Cutest thing ever is to watch her reaction every time she hears the rumble of the diesel engines. She runs to the window and waits for "Her" Sporty to appear.
An added plus is that she is ferocious and one of the best guard dogs ever!!

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS
Tom,
Annie is really a cute cat. I've never known a cat to tolerate water that well.
Gotta have some respect for someone who takes in a feral cat. Both of ours were feral and we feed two other ferals outside.
