That cat has an agenda

Great scenery pic you posted with the van but I want to see a mug shot of LuLu rather than her sniffing where you took a pee the night before

"cattitude" - pretty funny.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

Thanks for the compliment. I made it from some scrap plywood, leftover carpet pieces and a limb from a Madrone tree. Boots has to jump from the couch arm about 3 ft. to get to his food. Keeps him from getting fat.
Lulu's mug can be seen in my album. I couldn't figure out how to move it here.

wow. you need to sell those things. my wife noticed all the cat toys
Lulu's a cutie pie. I cut and pasted the pics from your album. that's an easy option.
I see she has a preference for fine Mexican cervezas. Bonus points for that

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

Last month we lost our 14 year old lab mix who went to AK with us in the SMB this summer. Really sucked.

Three weeks ago we ago we adopted/rescued a 7 month old lab/collie mix who just spent 10 days with us driving from Utah to Georgia. She traveled great and enjoyed having the gaucho to herself and toys during the ride.

You have my sincere condolences. It's like the curse of pet ownership. Unless you have a turtle.

Subtitle for the second picture. "Ruh Roh!, I rotta ro walkies!"

Don't let Lulu's good looks fool you. Just ask Oreo. When they're together Lulu definitely "wears the pants" in the campground. Oreo has finally learned to hold his own against her though when grease drippings in the bushes are involved.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

Thanks for posting Lulu's pics. I haven't mastered that particular skill. I'm lucky to get into the Forum at all. This is a fun topic. I'm tired of talking about batteries and bumpers. As Phil has pointed out Lulu prefers to own the campsite. One exception happened at Nitnat Lake in Victoria BC. 2 unsupervised dogs came into the camp and Lulu began her usual posturing. These 2 dogs had obviously been around dogs like her. Everytime she got snarly the bigger one just gently moved her away with his hip until she relaxed. The smaller dog just laid down and went to sleep. Ruth and I had read that it's best to just ignore these situations as long as nobody was fighting. Sure enough after about 5 minutes all three dogs were asleep by the van. The visitors departed eventually. Later that night as we sat by the fire they returned. Lulu was already asleep in the van. The door was open so they just hopped in and had a nice little sniff-a-thon and then wandered off. We didn't see them again.
Another camper told us the next day they were "RES" dogs. They live on the Indian Reservation that owns the campground. I've never been around dogs like them. Well fed, well mannered, and totally in control. Very cool. Lulu could learn some manners if she had to hang with that pack for awhile. Actually another weekend with Oreo might work.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

great stories about LuLu.
glad you like the thread. seeing the pictures and reading the stories shows how traveling with pets is an integral part of the camping/touring experience. It wouldn't be the same without them.
