sorry to hear that. bummer. I'm sure it's in a better place.
good for you for getting a new one and a rescue. What is this young princess's name?
great pics
Thanks guys for the condolences. Our new girl's name is Kala and she sure is sweet but very protective of "her" SMB. If someone got too close to us when we were stealth camping on our way back to Utah she would start a nice low growl to let us know but not give away our presence!

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

We lost our best girl Ula to Lymphoma on October 2 this year. What a heart-breaker. She was the best. She was athletic but gentle, an excellent companion and a great student. She did agility classes, flyball classes, retriever training, obedience classes, etc but most of all loved getting in and out of the farm pond and chasing tennis balls.

Here she is on the farm.

We were just getting her used to the camper van but never got to take her on a trip. After two months of a lonely empty house, we picked up our next best friend Olive. She is a first gen. labradoodle. Standard size- should be around 60-70 lbs. I put her in the camper van today for the first time to get her used to it.

9 weeks on her way home with us

10 weeks checking out the new ice

Notice the winter jacket theme? My wife's idea ...

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

Teeots,
Thanks for sharing your dog stories.
So sorry to hear about Ula. That's so sad. She looked like such a cutie.
Glad you got a new pup. She's adorable.
Is your wife going to add a matching hat and booties to go with that jacket?

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

Thanks for the condolences. Some one told us recently that, "they are not ours to keep", which is a nice way of saying you should enjoy them while you can.

Lets not give my wife any ideas regarding dressing up full size dogs!

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

I love dogs, cats, etc. and enjoy the pictures and stories. I get my dog and cat fix from you and you take care of them for me.

John and Dana, I recognize the SMB lighted wine glass in your picture. (thank you Jage for the wine smilie)

Re: SHOW US YOUR PAWS

I'm getting an SMB largely for travel with my dogs. I've been a motorcyclist for more than 10 years but adopted a couple of dogs 2 years ago. Since then, my motorcycling has dropped nearly to nil because I'd rather enjoy my weekends with the dogs. But I miss travel and adventure. An SMB is the perfect dog-camping vehicle, particularly for husky-type dogs, who can't really be trusted off-leash, even in a campground. My pups are avid mountain bikers

Unfortunately, those 2 dogs went away with that wife, but I've got 2 new pups. No good cycling pics, though, since I no longer have a companion out on the trail to shoot pictures of.

Here they are, waiting for me to stop browsing the sportmobileforum.com website and take them for a hike

Here's Zorro:

And Bella:

I can't wait to take off with them in an SMB and just wander for a few weeks. I have hopes that might happen inside of a week.

cute dogs cornercarver. thanks for posting.
funny how the female dog, Bella, gets the comfy chair while the male dog, Zorro, get the hard floor.
