Silver, Red, & Yellow Dodge spotted

I spotted a Silver, Red and Yellow very well preserved older model Dodge SMB today in Austin.... sitting in NW Austin,... between Parmer and 183, North of MOPAC....

Anybody? Anybody?

pics added above

Thought the stripe might be welcome in the "pimp my ride" thread.

Any ideas what the little hatch on the passenger-side rear end is?

I love seeing an older model too! It makes me feel good that ours has a good chance of being around a while.

I'm sure that you recognize the paint scheme....right? It is based on an historic AT&SF railroad diesel Warbonnet paint scheme introduced (I think) in the 1940s on their fastest passenger trains. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway is now part of the BNSF Railroad but they have kept a variation of this famous paint scheme.

The owner is obviously a railfan of the ATSF!
