I started reading his blog last night after seeing it on jalopnik. Not sure I would have picked a box truck, but at least he's making it work. Driving a big box truck around would suck in the bay area.

I did the same, and had the same thoughts. Especially because he basically only sleeps in it (contains bed, dresser, and closet rod), and even has a "no food shall ever touch this rig" policy (to eliminate pest problems). If that were the case and it were me, I'd just go with a simple van with bed in back and a swiveling passenger seat.

Always fun to read about good-natured people who live outside the box though (although I guess he lives inside the box ). Companies like Google that have "campuses" make it pretty doable.
