SMB accident on 101

I was heading down to Refugio State Beach earlier today and there was an SMB that got pretty banged up from maybe a single car accident? It was just north of Los Alamos. The van was in between the north and south lanes in a grassy area. Looked to be a 4x4, EB with a pop top. Can't tell whether it was going north or south because of where it was but hope everyone is OK. Looked just like 1ders rig but with an SMB top and Mexican blanket covering the rear windows.

SMB accident on 101

I heard on Expedition Portal that they were towing a trailer. Could that be Dig? I know he tows a big covered trailer a lot of the time and travels with his wife. Van looks like his.

Here's link to the local news with a pic of the van. Apparently it rolled over.

Hope they are going to be okay. Lots of damage to that rig.

I was going to text you as soon as we got to camp. But then I remembered your CCV top.

A good friend of mine towed that one, he said he was talking with the owner at the scene, so that at least means there were not serious injuries. From the pictures I saw, that body and interior are total losses, but the body held up a lot better than I would have expected after a rollover.

Before this gets sifted in to no-man's land here on the forum, I'd love to know who it was, if it was a member or not.

Anyone got an update?

I had an almost similar situation, but it had ended not as well as your neighbor
