Re: SMB Sightings

So LA is exactly as described above. Moving from Oregon down to the LA area for school, I had to make the adjustment. Then I headed north to the Bay Area for more school, and it was different. The 280 seemed to be "the 280", but 101 was just "101". Same seemed to go for 99 and the 5. Was that just me, or can you Bay Area guys confirm?

Now I'm back in Oregon and it's I-5, I-84, 26, 217, etc.

Re: SMB Sightings

Kind of excited to see an SMB near home today, since we don't see them often around here. Pretty sweet one, too. Arizona plates, with a Fresno plate frame. Was parked at the Starbucks/Twisters parking lot in Bernalillo this afternoon, near the NM 550 and I-25 interchange.

Are you on the forum?

I used Google Translate and it gave me the English-to-Californian of the last bit as: "...near the the 550 and the 25 interchange."

I'm here all week. Tip your waitresses.

Re: SMB Sightings

I was kinda surprised: I spent most of last week and all Labor Day weekend visiting family in the Carmel/Monterey, Calif., area, and didn't see one SMB. When I was there last year I saw a bunch. Maybe everyone was at Burning Man?

I did see a nice Quigley window E350 (non-SMB) at my local Ford dealer the other day. Very rare here in the Philadelphia area, even though Quigley builds them in York, Pa., just an hour from here.

Re: SMB Sightings

We were in the Monterey area last week in our 2005 silver SMB, camped in the Veteran's Park campground for a couple of nights. What a great location - right in the middle of town and it wasn't even full both nights we were there. Hiked the coastal trails around Pacific Grove and Point Lobos and spent a day in Carmel Valley for some wine tasting and a picnic. Got passed heading north around Seaside by a tan 4X4 SMB with bikes on the back.

Re: SMB Sightings

Old school in SF. Driven by an older lady. Must live (or camp) in my neighborhood - not the first time I've seen this one at the local shopping center.
