Re: SMB Sightings
Drove to Tahoe last Friday (July 24) and back home on Thursday (July 30).
July 24
Gold EB with poptop and a motorcycle/dirtbike on the back parked in a turnout near the 41/46 interchange (Cholame / Shandon area).
White EB, poptop and bikes on the back southbound on 5.
July 30
Hwy 50 coming down out of Tahoe around 10:30 - 11 am - you were behind me (black Prius) until the Sly Park exit. White EB (I think), poptop, Aluminess goodies front, rear and up top, bikes on the front, including a pink one. Nice looking rig!

Re: SMB Sightings
I forgot to mention that I met SheriffDoug when I was in the Tetons recently. He was in his brand new, very yellow SMB. It looked great and he was a super nice guy, but we were just leaving on a hike so we cut the visit short. I never saw him again. Has anyone run in to him anywhere?

Re: SMB Sightings
Meet a fellow SMB owner while riding our bikes in Potawatomi State Park in Wi. last week. Very seldom see any SMB in Wi. so when we do have to stop and say hi.

Re: SMB Sightings
Met Sheriff Doug at NW Overland Expo in June. He had just picked up his rig a few days before. He was deninately enjoying it. He has headed to SD to get it lisenced. If I remember he was going to be in the States for 6 weeks before heading back to Oz. really enjoyed meeting him.

White pop top 2wd, westbound on 50 near south Lake Tahoe, this afternoon/evening. We both waved, so I know you saw me!

Re: SMB Sightings
Saw THREE SMB's on our recent expo to Montana!! Saw a Silver 4x4 EB shiny and looking stellar (great bumper box...couldn't have been a Rola Adventure series, piece of crap, crap, crap...another story if anyone ever wants to know) at intersection of 93 and 200 (NW Montana) or 200 and 56...following a Dodge 4x4 with a camper...then on the way back from NW corner saw two RB 's at Lake Alva...one with the multi color, overlapping rectangle paint scheme/decal we saw when we came into the CG ...COOL...and the other a single gal in a white with blue accents as we left the next day...stopped and said a simple hi and aren't SMB's the greatest!! No pics, but a cool affirmation of the RARE club we are in!!! I'll post a Trip report soon. Took the Gravelly Range road (missed a turn and ended up on some rutted field roads but made it out WAAAY south at Monida just on the ID border! Such a great road! Also dug crystals, hunted garnets and rubies on a reservoir, and found a deserted lake deep in the wood West of Glacier...anyway check it out if you have time!
