Thanks for the thread start...especially not the "Im starting a new build and want to know where I should put....." oh they know where to put it...anyway THX!

When I first starting Geo Caching I had an Isuzu Trooper and spent most of my vacations and trips in the desert. Hence I became deserttrooper. When we got our SMB it seemed logical to extend this to DesertSMB.

More interesting is the name of our van. We were out a SMB meet and greet for New Years 2015 camped up Fish Creek in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. We went on a trail ride with Ref, rallypanam and Driveabout with CalClimber riding along. We went to go up the Diablo dropoff. At the top were some Jeepers who were very proud of having driven up the hill. First to go up was rallypanam with CalClimber. Second came me. I took one shot at it and bogged part way up. Got off the gas immediately and backed down for another try. Made it up the second time. CalClimber (Craig) then talked about how I came roaring up the hill and described my van as BigThunder. Seemed like an appropriate name and it stuck.

'Splain yer handle

Gooseberry was my SAR dog for 12 years and one of the best partners I could have ever had.

'Splain yer handle

The color and year of my Corvette. Used it on the Corvette forums so I decided to use it on all the forums I subscribe to.

Came across this thread while searching another topic - lot of fun re-reading the replies. So, thought i would instigate a bump to see if gains traction again.

I'll start by explaining one of the most boring handles on this forum. Being a bit older, not into social media (no Facebook, Pintrest, Instagram accounts), not very tech savvy, and fairly new to forums, I chose my first name.

I would love to be able to change it to something a bit more exciting, but I have no idea how.

Mine is pretty straight forward, but I’ll need to modify it after June 8th to
Retired Ghetto Fireman. Pulling the plug after 33 years.
