My wife's name is Wanda so our first email address, back in the dial-up days, was wander. That seems to be a popular name for emails so we haven't had it since without tweaking a bit, but by adding a syllable I was able to use it here and it seems quite appropriate for the way we travel.

I nicknamed my lifted, 4x4, EB, high-roof van "The Beast" the day I brought it home... it stood out in the Napa, CA subdivision I used o live in, like a 6 foot 5 tattooed biker, at a knitting convention. The name stuck
I'm a retired Marine, or Marine retired, and I used the first three letters of each word to make a sort of acronym. It is not uncommon to use the first three letters of an organization's or commander of a organization's, multi-word name to make an acronym in the Marine Corps and Navy.
For retired servicemembers, the normal practice is to use a rank and Service followed by retired, sometimes abbreviated "Ret".
Liked "marret" better than "retmar" and it is easier to type all lower case than all upper case.
