I've had this handle since 1999-2000 and have not changed it or gone under any other handles.

Interesting, never heard that but I'm no stock market guy.

I always assumed it was a snarky combination of P.O.S. as we usually think of it and 'player' as in what those young hip dudes call each other.

My handle comes from steelhead fly fishing being my drug of choice, and the fact that I spend most of the year jonesing for it.

Mine is just my email address less the yahoo thing. In 2000 I got my first email and was living in Basalt Co. We lived in a 3 story condo and I lived on the top floor hence the up. I kind of thought when I joined this thing that you just used your email for you name. Kinda lame I guess.
