Stats?

So, this August will make two years with my van. I could not be happier with it. It just suits my family perfectly. Still needs some tweaks but doesn't everyones?

I started looking for a van about a year prior to actually getting the one I have. From that point until now makes about three years. Since that time, it seems like the interest in camper vans has exploded. Once a week, a new blog pops up with the 'living out of our van' theme.

However, it is hard to tell if it actually has exploded or if I am just much more heavily immersed in the culture itself.

I was wondering if the increase in interest would be reflected in the membership numbers of this forum. Or possibly the number of posts.

Does anyone know if those statistics are available? Total nerd project but, it would be cool to plot that as a function of time.

Interesting project. I have no idea how one would go about collecting the data, though. I can probably tell you that #vanlife may have started a resurgence of the lifestyle. Plus the Gen-x'ers probabley can't afford #homelife.

Van living has been around for decades, and if anyone can remember the 60s.... the old VW bus was a popular way to see America.

What would also be interesting is a history of camper vans.

These photos were of a Douglas Fir log van from Circa 1922 built by Wade (I kid you not, no relation)

What happened next.... well that's history

Are you talking about tweaks to the van, or to the family?
